Throwback Thursday

Casey Dillon, President of Throwback Thursday, is an innovative and entrepreneurial minded business person both in education (Graduated University of Dayton with a double major in Marketing and Entrepreneurship) and in life-experience. Casey’s passion for technology, social media, and relationships with his friends and family led him to conceive Throwback Thursday in 2010 as a genuine and ongoing way to utilize the social media and smartphone technology that has become part of daily life to create an online trend that fosters connectivity to friends and love ones. 

Casey’s efforts resulted in rapid growth and by 2011 Throwback Thursday had gained popularity as the weekly online platform to post one’s favorite nostalgic photos, memories and images. By 2012 Throwback Thursday had officially become one of the world’s fastest growing social media trends and expanded across many social media channels (FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, etc). In 2013 Throwback Thursday was hailed with the unique distinction of being the #1 social media trend and by 2014 with growth continuing both online and with coverage/utilization off-line in traditional media (TV, radio, print), promotions, and events-- Casey was awarded the Throwback Thursday trademark by proving himself as the sole originator of the Throwback Thursday phenomenon
